Leigh has joined his bookmatched burr walnut facing and is preparing it for gluing to the alder body.

It is glued using plenty of cramps for even pressure.

The neck socket is routed prior to cutting the body to shape.

The edge of the walnut cap is routed to thickness as the first part of carving the top.
