Hordur has joined the spruce front and is here planing it to thickness.

The first stage of Hordur's soundhole decoration is to fit two outer rings of ebony.

These are then scraped flush and the material between them removed.

Mother of pearl pieces are then prepared for the resulting channel.

The inaly is then sanded flush. A hard block must be used to avoid the soft spruce from being sanded lower than the hard shell.

The front braces are prepared ready for gluing.

Tom is gluing the bridge plate, soundhole strengtheners and smaller braces first; the X braces and upper transverse braces will be fitted in a separate gluing.
