Pete starts by planing the two halves of his alder body flat.

The two halves are then fitted together for a perfect fit.

The chambers are routed into the body prior before the cap is glued on.

The maple cap is then prepared.

Pete cuts the f hole out of the front before gluing. The area around the f hole has been thinned slightly.

The maple cap is then glued to the body using dowels outside the final shape to ensure correct alignment.

The truss rod and carbon fiber reinforcement strips Pete is using have been installed into the neck blank and the fillets that cover them are planed flush.
